Intel is charging up some bowls
Intel is said to release a wireless charging bowl by the end of 2014. The bowl 10 inches is diameter should be the size of a regular bowl that we use. The bowl uses resonant charging technology that is based on the Alliance 4 Wireless Power (A4WP) standard.
The A4WP standard of wireless charging needs no specific orientation or alignment for the devices to charge.
This method seems as simple as the way the whole idea came about. The whole idea came into existence when a group of Intel workers were brainstorming about a plug on a device that would help it charge. One of the female workers gave an input of how she ends the day by throwing in her jewelry into a bowl and voila the idea stuck.
Seems to me as a cool and practical solution for our re-charging needs. Hope the implementation is just as good as we hope.
